He shoots, he scores! A lucky Raptors fan has secured himself 2025-26 season tickets after successfully making a half-court shot at Scotiabank Arena.

The shot was made by a fan named Liam during halftime at the Raptors final home game against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday.

Liam previously made it through a layup contest presented by Tangerine Bank the weekend before to secure last night’s opportunity, and  his eyes were on the ultimate prize last night as he confidently walked onto the court in front of a packed arena.

Liam only had one shot and he took it all the way home. The shocked fan immediately took a run around the court after the ball went in as he was met with cheers and ambushed by Raptors ambassadors and dancers.

Fans took to social media to congratulate Liam, and share their disbelief.

“I was at the game, could not believe my eyes,” an instagram user said.

“Get this guy a contract,” another user said.

Most fans agreed that “this was a crazy shot.”

One Instagram user even jokingly said “this was better than Kawhi’s shot,” referencing former Raptors player Kawhi Leonard’s iconic shot in May 2019 in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.

The excitement did not end there for Raptors fans last night, the team then took home the win against the hornets with a final score of 96-126.

Despite the  Raptors not making it to the playoffs, it was an eventful night for Liam and Raptors fans. The team currently ranks 11 in the eastern conference.

The team is heading to Dallas on Friday to face off against the Dallas Mavericks.
