‘This is so good, I’m shocked,’ Fans can’t get enough of Justin Bieber’s new surprise album

Justin Bieber’s surprise album SWAG is striking a major chord with fans, and the internet can’t stop talking about it. 

Released Friday without much promotion and warning, SWAG marks the Canadian pop star’s seventh studio album and his first full-length release since his 2021 album ‘Justice’ and ‘Freedom’.

The 21-track collection includes collaborations with Sexyy Red, Dijon, Gunna, Lil B, comedian Druski, and more.

In the album, Bieber, 31, touches on fatherhood, fame, social media, mental health and the pressures of public life, all while experimenting with a sound that fans haven’t heard before.

The release comes amid recent online concern over Bieber’s mental health following  tense encounters with paparazzi.

In a video filmed on Father’s Day, the singer is seen confronting a photographer and saying, “I’m a dad. I’m a husband. You’re not getting it. It’s not clocking to you. I’m standing on business.”

In the lead-up to the album release, fans have been speculating about a new project as Bieber posted cryptic photos from the studio and mysterious teasers online. 

On Thursday, a day before the album dropped, billboards reading ‘SWAG’ appeared across Ontario and in American cities like Los Angeles and New York.

The fan response? Overwhelmingly positive and supportive.

“Justin Bieber did so good on this album, I want to cry,” one user wrote on X. 

“Justin Bieber’s new album is so good. I just wanna give him a hug,” another added. 

Reddit users echoed the sentiment, praising Bieber’s evolution as an artist. 

“Say whatever you want but this is for sure his least generic/basic album in like a decade,” one comment read. “This is so good so far I’m shocked.”

Others highlighted how refreshing the album’s sound is compared to his past work. 

“An interesting side of Justin we have never seen. Good songs.”

Another fan chimed in, “Loveeee the weird, gritty, borderline lofi production. It’s so different for him and it’s great to see him experimenting with his sound.”
