“I go to all your thrift stores and I would go to Jimmy’s Coffee and do you guys like Jimmy’s…Ever since I’ve come back to Toronto, every time, you guys have welcomed me,” she said to the crowd.

The “Please, Please, Please” singer goes on to shout out The Axis Club Theatre, formerly known as The Mod Club.

“The first time I played in Toronto, I was 15 or 16 years old. It was at a place called Mod Club. There was like four of you (fans) there and now you’re here tonight, there we go,” Carpenter said.

“It’s been such a wild journey and whenever you joined me, whether it was at Mod Club or whether it was along the way or whether it’s tonight and this is your first time going to one of my shows, I’m so so happy that you’re here, it means the world to me,” she added.

The singer also sang a cover of legendary Canadian singer Shania Twain’s song “That Don’t Impress Me Much,” which was selected after playing her rendition of Spin the Bottle on stage with her dancers, where a variety of artists were displayed and whichever one the bottle landed on she would sing one of their songs.
