“We are thrilled to confirm the rumours and open our doors at Yonge and Dundas, marking the beginning of a delicious journey for Canadians,” Shake Shack Canada Business Director Billy Richmond said in a press release.

“We’re excited to serve up our signature Shack classics along with some Canadian exclusives that we’ve developed with our local culinary partners to be enjoyed amongst Toronto’s dynamic cityscape,” he continued.

Shake Shack will be serving up its classics from its ShackBurgers to its crinkle-cut fries, but as a local twist the burger chain is also releasing one-of-a-kind menu items.

Shake Shack will be introducing the Maple Salted Pretzel Shake which is vanilla frozen custard with pure Canadian maple syrup.

Toronto’s Shake Shack location will be designed by local artist Briony Douglas. Along with the store’s opening, he has created an art installation to launch the burger joint into the city’s fast food industry.

“I’ve been a big fan of the Shake Shack brand for a long time and I’m thrilled to be working on this project to help give back to those in need,” Douglas said in a statement.

“It’s an exciting opportunity to blend my artistic vision with the infectious energy and community that both Shake Shack and the city of Toronto embodies,” she continued.

Many Canadians are anxiously waiting for the burger joint to come to the city.

“I can’t wait, I’ll be the first in line,” one X user wrote.
