Friday, Sept. 15:
Bloor West Village Toronto Ukrainian Festival
A free three-day Toronto Ukrainian Festival is taking place in the Bloor West Village starting on Friday. There’s going to be plenty of authentic food, vendors and live entertainment. Children can also enjoy some interactive booths and a midway. The festival will be on Bloor Street West from Jane St. to Runnymede Rd.

Treasures Book Sale
Book lovers, you must check out this rare book sale at the Toronto Reference Library. There’s going to be a lot of great deals on thousands of first edition books and some exclusive collectibles. For those who plan to attend, organizers are asking you to bring your own bag and expect potential lineups. All proceeds will go towards supporting library programs.

Saturday, Sept. 16:
Pape Village Block Party
On Saturday, a free block party is taking over Pape Village between Gamble and Mortimer avenues from 12 to 8 p.m for the very first time. There, you’ll find Mustang hot rods, local bands, arts and crafts, and a children’s fun zone with bouncy castles. The festival aims to showcase the community’s finest vendors and delicious food.

Toronto Waterfront Festival
The world’s largest rubber duck is back at Toronto’s Waterfront Festival this weekend from Sept. 16 to 17. Mama Duck will be situated on land this year at 7 Queens Quay East, standing at six stories tall and weighing 30,000 pounds. The festival is known to attract thousands of visitors thanks to the massive duck.

Roncesvalles Polish Festival
If you’re a big fan of polka and pierogies, check out the Roncesvalles Polish Festival on Sept. 16 and 17. There’s going to a huge range of traditional foods, local artists, musicians, artisan shops and more. Entertainment includes Indigenous programming as well as family friendly activities.

Mexican Independence Day Celebration 2023
Mariachis and margaritas, anyone? On Sept. 16, Mexican Day Toronto is inviting residents to celebrate the 29th annual Mexican Independence Day at Nathan Phillips Square from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. There, you’ll find authentic foods, drinks, and live performances, showcasing the very best of Mexican culture.

Riverside C’Mon Sundays: Dog Lovers’ Market
The 2nd annual Dog Lovers Market is making its return on Sunday. Hosted by Toronto Dog Moms, Riverside BIA, and Dirty Pawz Dog Wash, this event is a chance to treat your furry friends to some tasty snacks, toys, nail trims and much more. Those who RSVP early can also get a chance to win a free swag bag.

Three Sisters Indigenous Crafts Market
There’s a Three Sisters Indigenous Crafts Market being held at Cecil Community Centre from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. This free event was created by three kwewok (women) who believe in buying/shopping Indigenous made not Indigenous inspired, and thus, created this safe space for Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.

Terry Fox Run
On Sunday, you can join the Terry Fox Run where you can run, walk, ride or skate in 2, 5 or 10-kilometre routes to support Terry Fox’s legacy and raise funds for cancer research. Every year, thousands of participants attend this event which brings together the community. Throughout the event, there will be a complimentary BBQ, children’s activities, and musical entertainment as well.
